This is the home page of the UT Austin Villa robot soccer team. We are a RoboCup soccer team from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin. We compete in both the legged and simulation leagues of RoboCup soccer. Our team name is a play on the name of a prominent English football club, Aston Villa. News 27 June 2021

UT Austin Villa defended its 2011 3D Simulation League title, featuring artificially intelligent robots that compete in simulated soccer games. For the first time in university history, the Texas team also won the RoboCupSoccer Standard Platform League (SPL) competition — one of the highest profile leagues at RoboCup.

This is the official site of the UT Austin Villa 3D Simulation team from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin. In the RoboCup 3D Simulation League autonomous (controlled only by their own software) robots compete against each other in a physically realistic simulated game of soccer.

NAO RoboCup Team (Learning Agents Research Group) - The Softbank NAO robot is used by the UT Austin Villa RoboCup team to compete in the annual RoboCup Standard Platform League soccer competition. This humanoid robot perceives the world through two cameras and IMU sensors and uses this information to control each of its joints to walk, kick, as well as high-level planning.
